RETURNS
Any item purchased at the These Four Walls store
or on the website may be returned in person to
the store for a refund or store credit, as set
forth below.
With Original Receipt within 14 Days –
Possible Full Refund:
Merchandise may be returned to the store for a
full refund if (1) it is within fourteen (14)
days of purchase (or delivery to the customer,
if the purchase was made online), (2) the original
sales receipt or packing invoice is presented
(showing the sales price), (3) the merchandise
is in the same condition as when it left the store
or warehouse, and (4) the item is returned with
the manufacturer’s original packaging (reasonably
undamaged), if the item was sold with such packaging.
With Gift Receipt within 14 Days –
Possible Full Store Credit:
Merchandise may be returned to the store and exchanged
for store credit equal to the amount of the purchase
if (1) it is within fourteen (14) days of purchase
(or delivery to the customer, if purchased online),
(2) the gift receipt is presented, and (3) the
merchandise is in the same condition as when it
left the store or warehouse.
No Receipt or After 14 Days – Possible
Store Credit:
Merchandise that is returned to the store without
a receipt (original or gift) and/or more than
fourteen (14) days after purchase (or delivery
to the customer, if the purchase was made online),
may be exchanged for store credit if (1) the item’s
“These Four Walls” identifying tag
or barcode sticker is presented, (2) the merchandise
is in re-sellable condition, and (3) the item
is not past season. The amount of store credit
will be limited to the item’s current retail
value, as best determined by management, less
a 10% re-stocking fee. The issuance of store credit
shall always be at the sole discretion of store
management.
Special Order Merchandise. Special
order merchandise may not be returned.
Clearance Merchandise. All “clearance”
sales are final. No returns or exchanges of any
kind shall be given for such merchandise, whether
purchased online or at the store.
Defective Merchandise. “Defective”
merchandise may be returned or exchanged outside
the above-stated limits at manager’s sole
discretion. A sales receipt or packing invoice
showing the price paid shall be required for the
issuance of any refund. The issuance of store
credit shall be at the sole discretion of store
management. Defective merchandise may be sent
back (by Fed Ex or other delivery service) to
These Four Walls with advance notice to, and coordination
with, store management. These Four Walls reserves
the right to refuse acceptance of any item that
is sent back without such prior notice or coordination.
“Defective” shall be defined as not
performing as intended by the manufacturer (ex.,
a clock that does not keep time or a lamp that
does not turn on).
Please Note:
Each item sold through our retail store or website
has been thoroughly inspected and approved for
sale by the These Four Walls Furniture Restoration
Team. Irregularities, imperfections, and
inconsistencies in paint/stain finishes and materials
are not defects. With any of
our new pieces, finish variations are celebrated
as reminders of their handmade quality. Often
with our antiques and antique reproductions, the
pieces have been constructed using salvaged and/or
reclaimed materials. “Old age” marks
are therefore expected and are not considered
manufacturing flaws. With exotic root, the pieces
are in a nearly-natural state. Grooves, openings,
and uneven surfaces are part and parcel of this
type of product. Again, such are not defects.
Damaged Merchandise. See “Damaged
Goods” section, below, for return policy
and procedure.
Form of Refund

Refunds
for purchases made with credit card shall
be given by crediting back the amount
of the purchase to the same card that
the customer used for the purchase.

Subject
to the overall refund policy and except
as set forth below, purchases made with
cash, debit card, or check for $50 or less
shall be refunded in cash. Purchases over
$50 shall be refunded by a “These
Four Walls” business check, issued
to the original customer within ten (10)
business days. The customer may choose to
pick up the check in person at the These
Four Walls store or have it sent by U.S.
Mail. |

For
purchases made with check, refund requests
made on the same day of the purchase shall
be handled by returning the customer’s
original check to the customer. Refund requests
made after the day of purchase shall be
handled as specified above, subject to the
overall return policy. |
SHIPPED RETURNS
These Four Walls will not pay for items to be
shipped back as returned or exchanged merchandise.
These Four Walls will, however, accept shipped
returns of merchandise and issue refunds or store
credit on a limited basis (set forth below). A
refund or store credit will only be granted upon
These Four Walls’ receipt of the merchandise
in re-sellable condition. Customers are urged
to call These Four Walls and arrange with management
for the proper packing, shipping, and delivery
of any furniture and/or fragile merchandise.
Refunds or store credit for shipped-back merchandise
shall be determined as follows:
Received with Invoice, Postmarked within
14 Days – Possible Full Refund:
A full refund of the purchase price (including
sales tax, but excluding any shipping and handling
fees) may be given for merchandise that is sent
back to the store if (1) it was postmarked to
be sent back to the store within fourteen (14)
days of delivery to the customer, (2) the customer
included the original packing invoice showing
the sales price, (3) the merchandise is in the
same condition as when it left the warehouse,
and (4) the manufacturer’s original packaging
(reasonably undamaged) is also returned, if the
merchandise was delivered with such packaging.
Refunds for online purchases shall be issued in
the same form as customer’s original payment.
With Gift Receipt, Postmarked within 14
Days – Possible Full Store Credit:
If an item purchased from the website was sent
as a gift and no price is shown on the packing
invoice, store credit equal to the amount of the
purchase may be given for merchandise that is
sent back to the store if (1) it was postmarked
to be sent back to the store within fourteen (14)
days of delivery to the customer, (2) the customer
included the packing invoice, (3) the merchandise
is in the same condition as when it left the warehouse,
and (4) the manufacturer’s original packaging
(reasonably undamaged) is also returned, if the
merchandise was delivered with such packaging.
The issuance of store credit shall always be at

Although each and every item must pass inspection
before leaving our warehouse, and no item is ever
shipped out in a damaged state, the unfortunate
reality is that merchandise may suffer damage
during the delivery process to the customer. Should
a customer feel that delivered merchandise has
arrived in damaged condition, the customer should
contact the delivery service first. If the customer
should need further assistance after contacting
and working with the delivery service, the customer
should then contact a manager at These Four Walls
